While writing this review, I'll need to consistently stop and remind myself to evaluate the product itself and not my personal feelings about it (I'll summarize that at the end of my review).

The EIOTCLUB 4G LTE USB WiFi 6 Dongle is a nice little way to set up whatever device you plug it into and turn it into a mobile hotspot for all of your devices. Simply pop it into a USB port (either A or with the adapter, C) and off you go. The performance of this little device is great for those times when you would rather have a more secure method of accessing the internet instead of using any of those WiFi signals that pop-up and have no password for accessing it. It does come with 1GB pre-paid SIM card and the ability to recharge it through scanning a QR code. The connection was pretty stable and didn't drop once. This would be great to have in your travel bag for those moments when you want to hop on your laptop and your phone isn't available as a mobile hotspot.

I don't see a demand for personal use with this type of device unless you are constantly on the go. Rather, I think this product is probably best for the 'movers and shakers' in the small business world that requires a lot of hustle to keep the lights on. In that regard, the product would be perfect if you were to use a charging block and simply pop it into an outlet if you've got a couple of folks who need access or if you need the all of the decreasing number of USB outlets that seems to be the norm in the world of laptops.

Now for my warning...1GB is NOT a lot of data in this day and age when more and more data can be transferred at higher rates of speed (meaning that it's not going to take a couple of seconds for a single image to download; rather, it is almost instant). People don't realize that you can burn through 1GB of data pretty quickly and I'm not too familiar with the average cost of pre-paying for data, but it seems a bit pricey for the subscription plan. In my mind, it's ok to have this device but a) swap it out for your own SIM card through your mobile carrier and b) you only deal with files such as documents that don't contain a lot of data.

The wifi dongle comes with a USB-A to USB-C adapter and a quick start guide. The dongle was a little bigger than I expected, but thinner than expected. It comes with the SIM card preinstalled in the dongle. Setting up and connecting it was easy. The dongle can be plugged directly into a computer/device (using the USB C adapter) to connect directly without wifi or the dongle can be plugged into a USB power supply/power bank to connect to wifi. The default wifi SSID and password are printed on the label under the cover on the bottom of the dongle. Adding data was easy- scan the QR code printed on the back cover or add the dongle to the EIOT app (QR code link to app in the quick start guide). Overall, it worked well and was easy to set up and use.

This little EIOTCLUB WiFi dongle is a great option for those who need internet on the go. It’s plug-and-play simple. You pop it into a USB port in your car or laptop, and it basically just works. No juggling settings or wrestling with confusing menus. The setup is fairly straightforward, which I love because we all just want connectivity, not a tech project.
Once it’s going, the connectivity has been surprisingly reliable. I’ve used it on a road trip, at a couple parks and on hiking trails while out with my dog, and in a couple other places where my phone signal sometimes flutters, and it keeps multiple devices happily online. Streaming, emails, video calls, and general browsing all hold up without constant drops or reconnects.
The speed also works pretty good for a portable hotspot. I easily was able to watch videos, check social media, and get a good amount of work done with little to no issues. It’s not fiber-optic home speeds, but for travel and car use, it’s plenty fast. This could also be great for a small business wanting to open up a hotspot for customers.
Since it’s USB powered there’s no battery to worry about, so it doesn't need to be charged. As long as it’s plugged in, it stays powered so taking trips or spending long days out and about don’t drain anything extra.
It comes with a free day of use with 1GB so you can test it for yourself, and if it's something you want to keep around, they have really affordable 30 day plans that are priced based on how many GB you want. It starts with $22 for 5GB, $30 for 15GB, and $45 for 25GB, and it goes all the way up to 100GB. You can also choose their yearly plan as well.
For what it does and how well it does it, I think it's definitely worth paying for if it's something you NEED, and something you'll use more than just once or twice every now and then. You get decent speed, easy setup, and the ability to share with up to ten devices without contracts or drama, so yeah...this dongle does the trick really well.
